        LX200 Cross Reference Deep Sky Object Catalogue (Gatter 2000)
================================================================================
Description:
   This catalogue provides a list of all the deep sky objects contained
   within an LX200 telescope database (firmware revision 3.34L) together
   with (where appropriate) their corresponding Messier, NGC, IC and UGC
   catalogue numbers. Common names are also listed.

Note on Sort code:
   This field is present to facilitate certain types of reports. The
   sort order (all fields in ascending order):
       Constell
       Sort code
   gives one ordering that is suitable for a variety of purposes including
   casual browsing.

Note on Type attribute list:
   Not all of these are used, but possible values are:
     GAL=galaxy
     IGAL=interacting galaxy
     GLOB=globular cluster
     OPEN=open cluster
     PNEB=planetary nebula
     DNEB=diffuse nebula
     ENEB=emission nebula
     RNEB=reflection nebula
     NEB=nebula
     AST=aterism
     MSTAR=multiple star
     TRPL=triple star
     DBL=double star
     SNGL=single star
     (no)=object called nonexistent in RNGC (1973)
     PDEF=photographic plate defect
     UNSO=unverified southern object
     LMC=object in Large Magellanic Cloud
     SMC=object in Small Magellanic Cloud
   and of special note:
     GLOB+GAL=globula cluster in external galaxy
     OPEN+GAL=open cluster in external galaxy
     DNEB+GAL=diffuse nebula in external galaxy.

Note on Meade object rating:
   Meade assign ratings to some deep sky objects as follows:
     SU=superb
     EX=excellent
     VG=very good
     GD=good
     FR=fair
     PR=poor
     VP=very poor
